my post disappeared....

I posted to this forum earlier today and the post has vanished. Did the forum Admins remove it? I haven't had an email explaining why. Maybe it was just a blip...... Admins can you explain please???

It was regarding a class I teach at Everyone Active - Body Combat 9:30 Monday mornings. I mentioned to my members this morning that this forum might be a good way to stay in contact regarding the class. So, not spamming or advertising.....

Oh, yes, I did see it before it disappeared. I don't see why the editors would object to this any more than to Harriet's thread. Is it you who does Forever Fit too?

Why should this site be subsidising free ads for everyone active? They aren't a charity are they? And they've certainly had quite a lot of free advertising already from this website. Or have they paid for a banner ad I haven't noticed?

I expect it looked like advertising so was removed.By I don't think EE would see much of the discussion on here as "free advertising" - more like a lightening conductor!

For what its worth Linda, this last week I've experienced errors with NeighbourhoodNet's forums and contacted Neighbourhood Support - they replied that they've recently been having tech troubles and have apologised to me.  Or maybe they've considered your post to be too "commercial" for these forums - maybe. Suggest you phone them. Good luck.

Thanks Gerry - I think it might have been a technical hitch. It really wasn't commercial - I was just testing out whether this might be a good way to communicate with the people who come to my class. All I did was thank them and tell them who is covering the class while I'm on hols next week! They are already members of Everyone Active and even if the post encouraged other members to come along I wouldn't get paid any extra! Anyway, I've decided it's not the right forum for my purpose anyway - so no more from me :-)

Hi LindaShame as I like the idea of knowing if someone else is covering your class. I had a bad experience with a sub leader (not body combat) and I could at least know to enquire with the centre who's covering. By the way LOVE your class!

Aww thank you Teresa :-)I completely forgot that I'm on hols next week. Melinda will be covering so it will be fine. Please do come along. I'll be back the following week.I don't think this forum really works for us. There's a Facebook page for EA which might be a better way to communicate things like class covers - or maybe I could set up a group for the Combaters on FB. I'll have a think. Feel free to add me on FB if you use it. I just looked for you - but your name is not unique!!! It might be easier if you find me.See you in a couple of weeks :-) x

When I posted that the boot camp co I work out with in Acton park was doing a free taster week, the post was removed.When the kiddie football in the park co advertised a day camp (paying) when the schools were shut for the election the post wasn't removed. very baffling.

Kim. I agree that your information  regarding the boot camp should have been posted but just to clarify, the Shooting Starz football camp post was not an advert. It was posted by me, a happy customer.My sons attend their sessions in the park and I thought that 6 hours professional football coaching for £10 was a deal worth sharing with other working parents!

Yes, I think both posts seem to be valid.I didn't mean to suggest one was more worthy than the other, I saw the football in the park and I think they are a great outfit. I would support anything that gets children out in the open and a great usage of a public open space.
