Ealing Social Services

I am trying to start a campaign to expose abuse,corruption and criminal activity by Ealing Social Services.These people have been targeting vunerable families for abuse and intimidation and need to be held to account.I would like anyone who has or is having trouble with these people to contact me at robertlittle1959@yahoo.co.uk or phone me on 0208896 3122 as I have found a local councilor who is willing to listen to these complaints

With respect clearly not aligned enough as the Administration increased it's majority at the last Election. My point is by all means campaign on issues you care about but hinting something more sinister is afoot is unhelpful to your cause it just to adds to the cynicism with politics , so present hard evidence and facts but don't taint it with innuendo dressed up as "putting questions out there" and sometimes smears. Also Angela speak for yourself and not "hundreds of others. I'm suspicious of self anointed leaders. Good luck in your campaigning.

I thought this thread was about a concern specifically with Social Services.  Whatever the rights and wrongs with Ealing Council don't lose the issue with the usual council bashing.  The original posters 'issue' will get lost.

Gary, you're under the impression we are "aggrieved individual"..  We're far from individuals.  There are literally hundreds of us out here, all in alignment.  There are many residents associations whose members are far from happy with the Council not listening to its residents.  They only "listen" at election time.

I"m under no illusions Angela what so ever and know far more than you give me credit for . Regards not being heard that I'm afraid is more likely because the Council doesn't agree with your arguments and as democratically elected body I'd  prefer their juristiction and than aggrieved individuals.

Gary, people usually resort to forums such as this because they've tried to get heard by the Council, or whoever they aren't happy with, but aren't heard.  As someone said, it's naive to think that all services/councils/etc are above board and "fair".  If you could see the work I and the likes of me have done behind the scenes to get "fairness" or even heard, you'd have given up long ago.  Sorry to shatter your illusion.

Difficult to talk about individual cases without knowing the full facts. But the council can legally assess and ask for a financial contribution and the final cost by the way won't in any way reflect the true market price for such work and services. So council services are usually good value for money.

Who is the Gary Sinclair?My friend has had care for the last eight months, now the council want to do a financial assessment, which will be backdated, no doubt leaving a massive debt to be paid. Also there is sometime in the very near future a financial assessment to pay for home adaptations, I think you could call this the council, social services and occupational health screwing people for every penny they can get away with.  Respond to that Gary Sinclair.

Don't be so bloody naive, do you honestly think these bastards give a damn about ordinary people, all they care about is protecting professional status and the rest of us don't matter. This is the perfect forum for this kind of exposure.Once again, if anyone has or is having problems with social services, please contact me and I will help you take them on.Sooner or later someone must deal with them!

The Council has its own appeal mechanisms and if people arent satisfied then there is the totally independent local govt ombudsman and MP,allegations like the ones made are serious and need to be properly investigated, resorting to a public forum to air such grievances is inappropriate. It is worrying that anyone should feel that they are perhaps not being treated as they should be by the systems that are put in place.  It is only right that individuals should also have a support group to turn to and that they should be advised where that is.

They do a difficult job and they mainly do it well. If you think they have done something criminal and/or are corrupt go to the police or consult a lawyer but please don't grind your axe on here, social workers deserve our support.
