I forgot to post about this but it is going on now.  There is a good ID chart to download and more info to find out about this while you have the time in the holidays - or to remind yourself of all the butterflies we used to see as children and what they laid their eggs on and what their caterpillars looked like etc.

I discovered some butterflies I hadn't seen before on a butterfly walk in Gunnersbury Triangle.  Check out this lesser known wildlife reserve that is so close to us:http://www.wildlondon.org.uk./wildlife/reserves

It's a great spot and a haven for damselflies too.
