I'm fairly sure the influence of Dame Sally Coates has given a sharp kick up the backside to the whole ramshackle affair, and will hopefully move it from the realm of amateurs-with-acres-of-PR to an actual school - the new head ending the insane amounts of school sport policies of his predecessor is a dead giveaway here - Lord knows how much teaching time was lost, but there's clearly been a clear out and a recognition that the point of a school is teaching children, not playing hockey.Actually, given the manifest problems the trust found in providing proper buildings for the school it might well be for the best to fold it into a reputable academy chain like Ark in order to give it the support it needs. One things for certain - you can't hand public money to big mouthed journalists and expect quality education in return. That model didn't work. Let's get back to proper schools run by professionals, eh?
