We're still holding onto hope that she will be found safe and well.Police are asking for anyone with any information to come forward.  Thursday 28th was still within the school holidays period. Police hunting for missing schoolgirl Alice Gross, 14, have arrested a man on suspicion of murder, Scotland Yard say.The 25-year-old suspect was arrested in the Ealing area at around 5pm on Saturday and is currently in custody at a west London police station.His arrest follows information detectives received.A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "All lines of enquiry are still open at this time and this remains a missing person investigation at this stage."

From the facebook page:" FROM THE ADMINS. YELLOW RIBBONS FOR ALICE ON THURSDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER. Alice is still missing. If she is still missing on Thursday it will be 2 weeks since she failed to come home. Many of you are suggesting using yellow ribbons to continue our awareness campaign and to show our community’s support and concern for Alice and her family at this very difficult time.We think this is a lovely idea. Yellow ribbons on trees, lampposts and railings would be a powerful expression of how our community feels and will continue our awareness campaign. We’ve spoken to Ealing Council (though not to other councils as yet) who are happy to support us and ask their operatives not to remove ribbons.So, with your support we would like to start this on Thursday 11th September. But we are going to need a lot of yellow ribbon! Ideally florist-type ribbon rather than fabric ribbon as it’s more water resistant. Any ideas? ‪#‎FindAlice  "

I couldn't see many posters on the Chiswick High Road yesterday.I have a few at home.  I know this is a BIG ask, but are there any companies that would be happy to print off some posters and/or donate some yellow ribbon in aid of #FindAlice please??Would anyone like to join me in (hopefully) flooding the HR later?We MUST be hopeful.Thanks in advanceGeorgie xx

The update this morning is not good. The chap they are now seeking was seen in the area at a relevant time, has disappeared and already has (apparently - I dunno) a murder conviction in Latvia. 20k reward offered for information etc...

He served 7 years from 1998 for murder in Latvia and was apparently once questioned in regard to the disappearance of a teenager. Not very exclusive the UK is it?

Having a teenage girl myself in borough of Ealing. I cant help but feel some anger as to why this man was allowed into our country if he has a murder conviction. I mean ok we are not 100% as yet sure if he is linked to this but he could still be walking our streets and Alice is still missing. Australia and the US does not allow overseas convicts into their country so why is our government allowing it and not protecting our citizens and children. I think more needs to be urgently done NOW. Alice is still missing and her parents going through utter heartache.
