Sutton Hoo Free Range Chickens at English Butchers

The brilliant Sutton Hoo PROPER Free range chickens are back at English Butchers in Churchfield Road. If you haven't tried them, they are really excellent. No, they're not the cheapest meat in town, but if you give a damn about animal welfare, what you eat and where it comes from they are worth every penny (we had one last night). What sort of price are we talking about for a medium chicken?

Can't remember - I'll try and find my receipt. But cheaper than the Ginger Pig's free range. They tend to be bigger birds but we get about three meals out of them and use the bones for stock.
