Breathing problems near Horn Lane Industrial site

Nicola Howard, long time correspondent on this Forum, was taken by ambulance to hospital last week. Collapsed in the street not able to catch her breath. I've been to see her and she is brave and cheerful in spite of being hooked up to various oxygen and air contraptions. I am not qualified to say whether her present illness is caused by Horn Lane Pollution but I can see evidence that the pharmacy near the site processes a higher number of prescriptions for breathing problems than should be expected. I'd like to collect evidence to bring before the Council Health and Well being Board so if you live near the site and know of any one with breathing problems, could you let me know. With thanks in advance.

my fiance suffers from athsma and has had problems when passing the site. recently the BBC did a news segment regarding the dust cloud that occured in april? May? She has recently been taken to hospital ( last six weeks ) with breathing problems.

An elderly relative who has asthma usually develops breathing discomfort when going past the Horn Lane site, also at the Hanger Lane Gyratory complex and the Chiswick roundabout at bottom of Gunnersbury Ave. Also near the narrow bridge on the Uxbridge Road by Ealing Hosital, usually when there's a traffic jam.

Sorry to hear about Nicola Maire....... and I do hope she is recovering OK. There was an air pollution warning for London and the south east last week, see http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2014/sep/18/high-air-pollution-levels-hit-south-east-england. I am not saying that the industrial site is not an issue but as you know Nicola has recurring health problems and the air pollution might have been the cause. (PS hope to see you on a walk at some stage, if my dodgy knee improves!) Iain

Sorry to hear about Nikki - the forums are quieter without her - tell her!I wonder how many people deliberately avoid Horn Lane because of the pollution.
