DIY Plantation Shutters

Hi, Has anyone bought, and fitted Plantation Shutters themselves? I've looked online, made a few calls that havent been returned, and google earthed an address which looked decidedly iffy. So I'd be grateful for recommendations as well as who to avoid. Thanks

When my wife and I first started importing what we called Plantation Shutters more than 30 years ago, we sold them mail order as a DIY product so people did their own measuring and fitting. We've long since sold the company on and lots of other people now offer the same or similar product, but they nearly all offer an all in fitting service at substantially greater cost.
