Consultation on  new Overground Station at Old Oak

We received a consultation leaflet from Boris on the Tfl/ Mayoral proposal of a creating a new station to intersect with HS2 and Crossrail. Does anyone have any strong views on this or think it would actually happen? It is hard to know whether it is a good/ bad idea?

The consultation assumes that Crossrail and HS2 proceed which seems to be a fairly safe assumption. You are being asked to choose between three options all of which include a link with the local London Overground stations. As such it is fantastic news for Acton which will become one of the best places to live in London in terms of transport connections.

It can only be a good thing. The only small downside is an extra 2-3 minutes on thru journeys. To be one stop away from HS2 will be great for the area, which is in need of major investment. There's no reason why old oak couldn't be a new business district, like canary wharf for west London.

I tend to agree that it can bring a lot of positives to Acton,in terms of travel options. Let's hope that Wormwood Scrubs stays protected,
