There's also a new Japanese deli opened at the top of Horn Lane (shopping parade near junction with Noel Road).

I noticed Tamarind Gardens was closed for "kitchen refurbishment" for a couple of weeks, then the re-opening date was crossed out and moved back a week, then the sign disappeared.  I supposed they suddenly decided to try Japanese instead.

While we are on new openings in Churchfield Road....The new coffee shop/bakery (we so need another one!) in the heart & soul/cupcake avenue/Park & Bridge parade is opening on Saturday this week apparently.There seems to be a fair bit to do yet.I think its to be called the Mill Bakery. the builders say there will be some baking on the premises. there is, I'n told, a good-sized space downstairs.I'm more excited by the upcoming Park & Bridge winebar myself.

The new wine bar opening on Churchfield is great news and a step further towards adding some much needed social nightlife amenities to Acton. Cant wait ... A big step in the right direction

Anyone know what's happening with the space next to Sainsbury's that was the printers?I thought it was going to be an educational establishment, but it is a great size for a restaurant.

The old Berrico building(s) are tied up in a lengthy probate problem but as far as I understand it, the educational company still wants to move in. We are moving as fast as we can on the wine bar and as soon as we have an idea of when we might open, we'll let everyone know. It's at 74 John - the old E Car Rentals place on the corner of Spencer Road (and just across the zebra crossing from our shop at 73).

Apparently Berrico's has a huge downstairs space where they used to actually do the printing.By educational establishment, do ou mean those maths and English coaching places that are springing up? I saw one recently in Pitshanger Lane

Yes. Explore Learning is the company but the building is tied up in a probate row. Shame either way as it would have made a great bar...

Great news. I don't think we have much in the way of Japanese cuisine on Churchfield Road right now. So I would definitely give it a try, as I had some very pleasant dinners in the then Indian Tamarind Gardens. See you

We look forward to trying your food. Like many people in Acton and Ealing my children had Japanese friends when they were at primary school. We still speak affectionately of those delicious suppers their kind and hospitable parents provided, especially the crunchy coated chicken.

I was 1st customer today. Had Sushi Bento box with lots of Miso, great value at £9.80 for freshly made sushi. Do go I think he has 30% offer only for a few days and highly recommend it.

We just has a great takeaway team lunch, star of the show was the Tempura & Roll Bento box, simply delicious. 20% discount was much appreciated!  Everything was well made, packaged with great attention to detail.

We just had a Hasu Bento box for lunch. Very very nice food and a very welcome addition to Churchfield Road.

We had lunch there today and I can definitely recommend. Very friendly service, and very fresh, delicious food with a well-priced lunch menu. Go and try it if you haven't yet, this is a fabulous addition to Churchfield road and we want it to be successful. Sushi, sashimi, udon, teriyaki, katsu....really something for everyone.

We had lunch there on Friday.  The food was super and of course beautifully presented. Do make sure the waiter understands exactly what is ordered, as we had a little confusion.  The service was very friendly and helpful.  They have a number of set combinations at lunchtime so you don't have to be well up on Japanese food. A real plus for Churchfield Road.

I came with my boyfriend last Friday for a meal which was absolutely delicious. We started with deep fried tofu and duck gyoza. For main we both had bento boxes. I can honestly say that it was the best meal I have had in a long time. The service was excellent. What a great addition to the area. Will be back next week with my sister!

I can't speak highly enough of this Sushi restaurant - delicious, fresh sushi and great service. We must all support this place as it doesn't get much passing trade and it would be a shame to lose a lovely place to eat healthy food :)
