John,You won't get the street swept unless it's the week for them to do a 'deep clean'! It appears they will only 'litter pick' weekly and then do a proper sweep and clean once every four weeks. This information was given to me by someone at the council when I complained about the state of the roads near me.I have also been told by Street Services that any spillage by the refuse collectors should be cleaned up by them ... "The crew have also been advised to take extra care, and whenever possible avoid spillages during their collections. The supervisor has provided them with extra spillage kits to enable them to effectively clear up spillages as and when they occur, during the collection process." Not seen any evidence of this yet though!
