My house was burgled this time last year whilst I was on holiday, 2 days left for my return when I received a call from a family member. He told me he went to check the house in the morning and everything appeared to be okay. Returned later in the evening, my auntie entered first and ran outside in shock, every door of my house was smashed into and rooms ransacked. Basically, they entered from the opposite house, broke a wooden fence at the end of my garden and somehow managed to smash the glass french door at the rear of my property. They chose a good day to do this, it was stormy weather with lots of crash and bangs. Both of neighbours either side of my house were at home yet they didn't hear a thing! Biggest mistake on our part was not telling them we went abroad for 2 weeks. Police told us they must have been quite desperate seeing as they broke through the entire glass door of the rear property. This is interesting, there was tablets and laptops lying on the table around the house, they didn't touch this at all. However, they did steal some of my mum's jewellery, all the females rooms were ransacked but mine appeared to be untouched (male).Since then we got security steel grilles fitted on every door and window in the house, CCTV covering every blind spot, alarm connected to police and some spikes near the fence they broke.Since then I've been checking the CCTV every morning. Strange things happen between 1:30AM to 5AM. In particular there's a black male in his mid 20's riding on a dark bike, he likes to open the handle of every parked car on my street.I caught him on CCTV last December rummaging inside 2 of my neighbours cars, they accidentally forgot to lock them! Today I've seen a black and while male between 20/30 years old, both wearing dark coats and a bag over 1 shoulder. They appear to be checking houses as they walk near North Acton Playing Fields. From now until mid January is a perfect time for burglars. Keep your eyes peeled and ring the Police as soon as.
