Nuisance Neighbour

Oh the joys of having a CCTV covering your whole street. I have a big dilemma at the moment, caught a neighbour flytipping rubbish on our driveway and stealing plants from other neighbours front gardens to use in his own (by the way he's a wealthy nightclub owner).Also parks his cars at the end of the road on double yellow lines on the right side, this causes a lot of near accidents when cars enter our road as it slightly bends into a blind spot where his house is located.Any advice welcome on what action to take.Thanks in advance!

Report this sort of anti-social behavour to the Council!

Flytipping - report to the Council; send them the footage.Stealing plants - report to the Police; send them the footage.Parking - well, one hopes the wardens will catch him if he does it often enough.

Dont be hasty, be wary, making enemies of your neighbour as it often has long term repercussions. Others may egg you on but he is not their neighbour. For get the traffic violation, let the police or parking attendants deal with that. The plants, w\ell its annoying, perhaps an anonymous note? Whatever you do keep it low level and try and be friendly during any face to face contact. Good luck

Also, don't you have to declare it when you sell, if you have had any formal altercations with your neighbour?

Wise words from Jeremy.  Keep it low profile, these type of neighbours are often bullies and will harass and try to intimidate to get their way.I say involve the council but stress strongly that your name, footage and house should not be mentioned in any action they take against the individual.  Just be wary.

Whatever you decide to do reporting on a public forum that you have a problem and are taking action may not have been the wisest thing to do.
