Acton Christmas Fair - on The Mount: Saturday 13 December 11am-4pm
I know that there's been no publicity for this, but you all should know that this Saturday is the official Acton Christmas Fair. Activities will take place at The Rocket in Churchfield Road (a boutique market among other things) and there will be Santa (the best one in the UK - I know, I hired him for 2 years!), various special Xmas stalls and entertainment on The Mount (in front of Morrison's/St Mary's Church).The Churchfield Community Association is running a stall as usual, but is still in real need of things to sell (half our profits go to the APPLE charity in the park for young people and children). If you have any good bric-a-brac, second-hand jewellery, second-hand books, toys or similar (but no clothes or electrical goods, please), or if you have anything suitable for a tombola prize (booze, unwanted gifts, etc.), please get in touch with me, Nancy Duin, on 020 8993 4294.Oh, and you should also check out the 'Affordable Art' exhibition at the W3 Gallery (next to the George & Dragon), where you'll find really affordable art (duh!) that's great for gifts. (Check out Zoe Angle's great little stained glass pieces, for example.)
