Superdrug is also closing. I detest Morrisons. Looks like ill be doing my shopping elsewhere now. :-(

I was told by someone local who knows the staff, that the Superdrug is actually being replaced by a Savers - possibly part of the same chain. Many of the staff to be retained and also the product lines.If it's true, doesnt sound so bad.

Actually we don't have a Waitrose, at least at the moment we have no Waitrose, and it looks as through there will be a lengthy wait before we do have Waitrose in Acton High Street.Meanwhile the place is in dire need of shops the local residents actually need.

I for one won't be shoppinG at waitrose just For the privilege of paying a third extra on my weekly shop. On the pluS side it might shake up Morrisons and make them up theIr game. Fingers crossed.

Waitrose.  They're back after a century!  They opened their first ever store here in 1904.  Welcome home.....

Walked through the Oaks Shopping Centre this morning. Everything has now gone except the 99p Shop. Quite depressing really.
