Suzanne,You say " I hope everyone who thinks Morrisons in Acton is badly organised - is telling the manager."We have spoken to head office a number of times, and they assure us they will do something about the store, but nothing ever happens. The new management seems no better than the previous one. Some of the problems are caused by the size of the store. Purpose built Morrison's stores are generally larger, but those they took over from Safeway's, like the one in Acton, tend to be smaller, but they treat it like a larger store. It is a very popular store, no matter what many of us think of it! Now Iceland has gone, there seems to be more people than ever, especially at around mid-day!I know there are many other independant shops in Acton selling vegetables and groceries, but there are some things that you can only get in Morrison's! If you rely on public transport, it is not always possible to go elsewhere.Peter M Jones says " The fresh fruit n veg section is especially poor they also hide dodgy pieces in the sealed packets always at the back so no way to see what your getting."I actually think their fresh fruit and veg is good - better than Sainsbury's on Churchfield Road and sometimes better than Waitrose. The sealed packets are usually not produced in store, but at the central packaging warehouse, so you can't blame the store for that.It really needs some competition to get it to up it's game. If Waitrose do eventually come to Acton, it will have some competition from them, but as others have pointed out, not everyone wants or can afford a 'high end' supermarket! An Aldi or Lidl would be greater competition.

I have to agree that Morrisons shiny new store in Ealing Broadway is a massive improvement compared to the Acton branch, however I have just written a complaint to Morrisons.I made my second trip to Morrisons in Ealing Broadway but there was one downside on my visit on Friday with a friend. We decided to purchase some tins of soup which had a sign showing they were reduced from £1.09 to 59p.At the self service check-out the old price of £1.09 so we queried this with the staff. According to the Manager the £1.09 price was correct, not all the tins of this soup were reduced! According to a staff member it was the Manager we spoke to but he was not a bit interested, just kept repeating that the price was correct at £1.09 without checking. Now why do supermarkets confuse customers in this way? The entire range of Baxters soup were on the same shelf showing the same price! No apology, I guess they hope customers won't notice that the full price has been charged!Fortunately we noticed that there was no reduction on the final bill. My friend said she never liked Morrisons but came all the way from East London because I told her about the nice new store. She announced in the store that she won't bother shopping in Morrisons again! One person on the Ealing forum actually called into Morrisons Ealing Broadway to check the prices and it turns out they were ALL marked at 59p so we were right after all.So not a great start then! Anyway I never leave a store without checking the bill and advise everyone to do the same.
