Cranes on a Sunday morning

We were woken up at 8:30am this morning to the noise of men working. We looked out of our window to see a massive crane. No notification was given to residents in the area. Clearly Ealing a Council does not care to enforce building guidelines in Strelley Way W3. Hi, unable to view pic as 'followers only'..... Cranes are often erected/taken down at weekends to minimise traffic disruption. Not much the council can do about it! The contractor should have leafleted homes close by giving warning out of courtesy though! At least they did not start until 8.30am........

As I understand it noisy construction work isn't supposed to take place near residential areas on a Sunday. The Council's noise abatement team should have been working but you may need to inform them when this happens.
