ANOTHER planning application to garden-grab

I agree with you about the dreadful extension that backs onto Summerlands. The house opposite plans to do the same. A family house being turned into three flats plus extension. Do Ealing council ever say no to developers?

Last chance to comment or object to this planning application, which closes after tomorrow.  We need to stop this cramming of homes into small gardens, altering the amenity of the area and in most circumstances is far inferior as a spacious living space.

Thanks Anne - I will have a look at that this afternoon.  It is demorailising.  What is it with Ealing Council?  And, do they EVER spend the 106 monies collected from these developers and if they do, does that money get allocated to the areas that were affected by these builds?    I once thought that the idea of having an independent Acton Council was ridiculous.  I now openly apologise to those who I disagreed with.  You were right - Acton is the dumping ground of Ealing Council.  No 32 storey tower blocks being built there.  No, no, not when you can do it in Acton.  How do we go about reforming who governs Acton - (devolution)?

Angela, you can object all you like, but if you want to see how far the planning department at Ealing Council will bend over to accommodate developers, just drive round Summerlands Avenue and see the "house" that was built on our road.  As it was a corner house, the house in the back garden is actually on the road, and an ugly mess it is.

Oh do object. There have been several built round here. Look like dolls houses. No requirement to blend in with the rest of the area, roofs pitched differently, painted odd colours Someone is making money, you can be sure of that.
