Acton Central Station today.

This afternoon Nikki was on her way to the butchers.  At the junction of Goldsmiths Rd and Churchfield Rd, she could see there was a problem.  The level crossing barrier was down, a sign saying the road was closed and the police were in attendance.  Does anyone know what happened or what was going on at Acton Central Station?

There are at least two notices up - one by the ticket office and the other by the book swap.there is a memorial service next Saturday afternoon (the 28th) at which all local people are welcome. I can't go - nephew's wedding - but at least one member of the Churchfield Community Association will be there. Details at the station.

Someone had crashed into the level crossing and it had to be repaired.  I went down to sign Michael's condolence book but it had already been sent to Ireland as the funeral has taken place.  The staff are still upset and I wondered if a notice, possibly with a photograph,  should be put up for a few weeks like they did at Lanelli's when one of their young members of staff died suddenly.
