Help! Missing posts.

Will someone PLEASE tell me why every time I add a post to this forum, it appears - as it should do - and then disappears within about an hour of posting?There's nothing controversial about the posts, so no reason for any automatic vetting system to block them, so I can't understand why this is happening.This started some weeks ago, when repeated attempts to add posts met with the same fate. I emailed the editor in the hope of an explanation, but have yet to receive any response.Am I the only one who's experienced this?

Worth noting that if you answer in response to someone enquiring about a service or asking for recommendations  it is acceptable.

Thank you Bob - both for your advice and your patience. But I'm beginning to lose the will to live on this one, and really can't imagine getting any satisfactory result from Neighbournet.So I will simply retire gracefully...

Paul from past experience I believe the editor is not supposed to get into discussions. I maybe wrong but the main purpose of the editor is to keep the front page alive (someone correct me if I am wrong) The postings are overseen by the Neighbournet people who also remain distant. But you can email them.

I thought this might be the reason Bob but, as you say, would have thought it a basic courtesy for someone (the editor?) to contact me advising that the site doesn't allow advertising of this kind - rather than just deleting my post.And it also doesn't explain why my post of a few weeks' ago (almost identical to this 'Help! Missing posts' one) also disappeared!Also, by searching for 'personal trainer' on the site, it's clear that similar posts have been allowed in the past - see especially one by Gareth Sinclair on 5 April 2013.Funny how invisible the editor is...

Its advertising Paul. You  have to pay fro advertising its the way the site makes money.Its a shame they don't say so though.

I once posted something a few months back and I thought it rather witty....it disappeared.  Racking my brains to understand why, I emailed the Editor but no reply.  I can only think it was because I'd made light of a serious post (not unkind or belittling at all, just trying to be funny.)
