Goodbye Morrisons?

A taxi driver confidently told me last night that Acton Morrisons will be closing for good later this week and re-opening as a Sainsburys three weeks later. Apparently he knows someone who has been hired to help with the re-fit.  Anyone else heard this? Fingers crossed....

Just been to Morrisons and spoke with the Fishmonger who knew nothing about it  He said the store was going to get bigger.

I was told some time ago that it is the store with the biggest footfall but not the biggest sales. Still, It would seem odd. I wonder if the team there have heard anything.Might be mean and unsettling to Ask though

Not heard about that. But it could explain why there seems to be no investment in the place. Strange though as I thought it was one one of their leading stores money wise.

OOOH we have a Sainsbury a stone throw away anyway and it is quite expensive. Why doesn't Aldi grab the site.
