Barrier by Acton Central Station

Spotted this morning about 10am, some person who should not be allowed behind the wheel, dangerously overtaking the car in front as the barrier started to come down, then accelerating at a ridiculous speed, and the car left the ground as it flew across the track. It was like a scene from a Hollywood film. He didn't slow down until he was halfway up Churchfield Road.High time speed cameras were installed here.

Apple, I know you're probably really busy.....are you able to do this, as I am Sec of the newly formed Friary Green Residents' Assoc and as such i'm snowed under with work on that front.  Would you be so kind?  Disturbed that I kept getting cut off from Acton Police.

It may be worth reporting to London Overground because I suspect the barriers will have cameras - most level crossings do - and they could pass the information on to the police.

Apple, the car this idiot (a grey Prius) overtook at the lights was me and my 7 year old and frightened the living daylights out of us.  He/she did indeed leave the ground and it was like something out of a movie.  The barriers were only down a minute or less, so I took after the offending car but couldn't find it.  It was so quick, I couldn't get the number and tried calling Acton Police but got cut off twice.  This person is seriously dangerous.  It's happened to me before, but this time was very, very dangerous.

Quite frequently either the police or a private security firm do scrutinise - generally in the morning. I've never seen them catch anyone jumping the red lights though

That is scaryNetwork Rail was trialling the use of cameras at barriers about a year ago but I am not sure if anything came of itThey would check that people did not go through after warning lights on. Think they could issue fines.
