Will Julian Bell Now Vote Conservative?

Must be very tempting for him to do so as he could end up owning two houses worth over a million if the right to buy Housing Association properties is introduced.

Perhaps now would be a good time to ask our Councillors for their views on current planning proposals in Acton. I'd be very interested to hear their views on 48 Horn Lane, the site Mermaid Car wash. This proposal has been in and out of the Planning department for some time. Angie is assisting residents again as she has done previously, but everyone except the Developer is weary. The proposal is for social housing and includes the idea of building a second row of houses behind the front block, inaccessible to emergency vehicles. So, what do the ward councillors think. ?

This subject was mentioned at the Town Hall Council meeting tonight.  I'm green at these things, all new to me.  Not impressed with the non-answering of the questions by Julian Bell.  The Leader of the Council, same person, told Acton voters to vote Labour but after evading the questions from another chappy there on his housing situation with Dominion, I'm not feeling confident in Labour, whether at local level or national.  Incongruent.  I do hope we can trust our Labour councillors in matters nearer home - that of developments encroaching on our skies and street corners, of 20 storeys and in some cases more. Integrity is the word that is much needed in all these matters.

That's kind of funny.However when Bob Crow, former leader of the RMT was earning over £100,000,he refused to give up his Council flat to a needy family. Nor would be exercise his right to buy. We will need to see the detail, but surely Mr Bell, good socialist that he is, will refuse to have anything to do with the scheme?
