URGENT FOR DOG OWNERS men in white van selling fish

For all the dog owners in area, there is a group of men in a white van going to homes asking if you want to buy fish, they are infact trying to see if you have a dog. They then mark your house or write down address and attempt to steal your dog from garden if dog is left unattended. Your beloved pet is then used to train fighting dogs. They were in churchfield rd area last night as they came to my home in perryn road. Please be careful and protect your pets

It is important the police are told about things like this.They will be made aware that people like this are in the area and can use resources more effectively to prevent crime or catch the offenders.

the police are aware but unless someone actually breaks into your property and attempts to steal the animal, they cannot do anything about it!!

it does happen, its not a myth. A lot of the major reputable newspapers have had warning articles about it also as it was happening a lot over the christmas period and just after. I have personally found marks left on my front gate and wall after they have been round, luckily my house is rarely empty and i never leave my dogs in garden alone......saying that one of my dogs would probably eat these scum first if they tried to get into my home

What do they do if you say you do want to buy some fish? Or do they sell fish and dog-nap on the side?Perhaps they have a partner company in Korea going door to door asking if you want to buy some dog, and then they come back and steal your fish.

its a well known scam and common method for these people to use. they also use a plain white van, no logo no name and not even refrigerated. My daughter saw them making a note of our address as they went back down the path. Last time they came about a month ago, i found a chalk mark on my front wall and a day later my back gate had been unlocked. I never leave my dogs in the garden anyway but i know a lot of people do, so just wanted to warn fellow dog owners that they are in the area
