Fighting mothers

I witnessed while being in a traffic jam in Noel Road the most extraordinary scene on Thursday. Two mothers fighting.This incident took place in front of other parents and children. These two women were ripping each other's clothes, spitting and kicking. Their own children were crying, but the baying banchees watching just chose to do nothing. I believe the police were called. Acton 2015.

Oh! Bob I've just stopped giggling. I have to say that if I had been raining you may have had your wish. The grass verge may have been too small though. They didn't care about ripping their clothes. Or the fact their children were distressed.

I quite agree, women wearing clothing in accordance with religious doctrine should not be fighting in public, It's much more fun when they're wearing bikinis and rolling around in mud.

They understand them enough to ascribe to their interpretation of the tenet to dress modestly.One cannot pick and choose which parts of a religious doctrine to follow.

A point (almost) well made.If those who see racism in every post criticising hypocrisy in the following of a religion choose so to do then sobeit.It is not aimed at a sect or religion, just at those who profess to follow it by subscribing to its dress code and then disregarding the basic tenets.

I would like a straw poll of how readers interpreted your initial comment...Yes, Islam does indeed talk of peace.The behaviour of two individuals should not be related to their religious affiliations, any more than the behaviour of supposed Christians should be related to their differing affiliation. Tolerance is about understanding that we are all human beings, and not labelling people with a particular religious badge and condemning that religion by association. If you didn't intend to do so then I am glad. But you must be mindful to the way such statements have been and continue to be used and choose your words carefully...

Nothing at all offensive. Islam preaches peace and tolerance. And where do you derive anything racist from  statement of fact? Define racist!Perhaps someone should have told these, obviously Muslim, women.
