The work to make a public space outside North Acton Station where the petrol station used to be stopped a couple of months ago. Anyone know when it is going to restart?

I suspect that the aim was not to build some wonderful public open space but to remove a petrol station which could spoil the view from planned expensive up-market flats. I wonder which pocket received the thanks.
