Bike found

We found a men's bike hidden down our side-return a week ago. My suspicion is that it's been stolen and dumped there (for collection? or to avoid detection?). I've tried reporting it to the Safer Neighbourhood team, but haven't had any response, so I wondered if the Acton W3 forum might know of anyone who has lost a bike?

Thanks Jeremy. I did notify the police (as per my first posting) and indeed they have come round to see it (as per second posting). It's not a bike that has been reported missing and has no marking.

look underneath  the frame near the pedal axel there may be a postcode.Notify police

If it was a large boy's/men's Raleigh mountain bike, we had one stolen....

It wasn't a black mountainbike with a basket and panier bag, or at least a rear rack was it?
