They no longer send out reminder letters either, it seems, so having forgotten that our permit was expiring we got parking tickets two days running (having been away overnight) - that's £110 at the discounted rate.I've just received the response from parking services who, predictably, reject both appeals on the grounds that 'it is up to drivers to renew their permits'. That may be true in principle, but the reality was that the reminder letter triggered my renewing the permit and the rest of the time I thought about it not at all (I suspect I'm not alone in that - the years do tend to blur together...).It does seem outrageous that they can change the system with (as far as I can see) no notification. I spoke to a (helpful) lady in the parking services office who said that they don't send reminders by post, but had sent out notifications by email - they hadn't been able to send one out to me as they didn't have my email address, however. Perhaps they should have gathered addresses prior to going ahead with this brave new procedure? There is a post over on Chiswick W4 reporting a similar experience, has anyone else fallen victim here in W3?
