Public Consultation Crossrail station at Acton Main Line

Interested in the new Crossrail station? Then come along to St. Dunstans Church, East Acton on Tuesday evening for a presentation by Crossrail and Ealing Council. Watch the presentation, especially the part about changes to the highway. Ask questions. Hear the explanations. 7.30pm. Refreshments. Hosted by Friary Green Residents Association. Come one. The first Crossrail trains are scheduled to begin at this end of the line in May 2918. 2918  is it really going to take 903 years?  Sorry Maire, just checking.

Very good public meeting at St. Dunstans this evening. Lively questions from the audience, with plenty of views expressed. The speakers knew their material and did very well. Our thanks to Crossrail and Ealing Council. Tbe disabled access looks good on the designs we were shown. There will be a graduated walkway to the lifts down to the platform which will accommodate wheelchairs. The highway design is a,work in progress and nothing will begin until the next financial year.We asked about the lorry parking and it seemed that Nick O'Donnell is on the case. We may need to press for more focus on the area by his enforcement colleagues.They hope to revive the Ealing Acton Transport group set up by Angie Bray to help residents comment on design as it develops. Just waiting for Rupa Huq to reply. Further public consultation will be arranged. The first Crossrail trains are scheduled to begin at this end of the line in May 2918. The Eastern end will be earlier,May 2017.

Maire, please ask if they will have access for disabled passengers. People with mobility problems may avoid this station because of the lack of access.Thanks.

Marie - A question for the team.Large lorries parking or stopping legally in Horn Lane near the station are creating long tailbacks and extra pollution because two large vehicles are no longer able to pass . Will the proposed plans elevate this?
