MALE STUDENT LOOKING FOR SUMMER WORK

|My 19 year old nephew is looking for some summer work in the area. He can start immediate.   Anything considered.  He is bright, personable but has very little experience in anything (other than a couple of weeks last year serving coffee at an event!)but he is a quick learner.    Anyone have any ideas?  He's desperate to get some experience in doing something!!!And his Mum is desperate to get him out from under her feet lol

Sorry I only just noticed this post but I work in North Acton for a company called Brightsparks. We employ students looking for part time work especially on weekends and holiday periods. We staff big stadiums, etc like Wembley, Twickenham, Olympic Park, Chelsea, etc in the events and hospitality sector and help students gain work experience. We are still recruiting for the Rugby World Cup and other events. If they're still interested tell them to sign up on brightsparkslife.com. They can work as little or as much as they like but we are holding lots of training sessions now which will be beneficial before they start working Good luck :)

At Your Service is another events company that employs young people for corporate events.  It works well for students as everything seems to be done online - you just log in your available hours and they fit work round you.

My daughters have worked for another agency in the past called High Society, which provides staff for corporate events, etc. Once you're on their books there seems to be plenty of work, and again, it's completely flexible. Good luck!

Hi Apple, I agree its so hard to find a summer job now.  My daughter was lucky as she was doing her degree in Primary Education and found work in local schools and nurseries in her holidays.  He will have to keep trying!!!

My son is in the same boat Natalie. I think its getting harder and harder to find summer work. Has he been around Westfield etc with lots of copies of his CV? Worth a try. Also try John Lewis and Next. Son worked in both last year and over Christmas.
