Dog attack Springfield Gardens.

Last Saturday afternoon a rather large dog, (sounds like Rupert) attacked a small Yorkshire Terrier, causing serious injury.  The owner of the Yorkie is now facing a £3,000 vet bill.  If Rupert is back in the park with the irresponsible owner, steer clear.  The owner of large dog ran off after the attack.  The incident has been reported to the police.

Rather basic. They should have put the breed of the aggressor. Hear Schnauzer has been seen on the green area by Twyford High and Uxbridge Rd.

Cheeky Michael came to see me a couple of days ago.  He seems to have recovered from his ordeal.The police have put up notices in Springfield Gdns appealing for witnesses, who saw the attack.The late owner, on post mortem found no apparent cause for the sudden death. The case has now been passed to the coroners court.Depending on these findings, the owner of Rupert could face a charge of manslaughter...possibly.Rupert has attacked my dog in the past, but I don't know which dog caught my hand. Please anyone who saw the attack on little cheeky Michael, DO respond to the police appeal. Justice needs to be done.

Cheeky yorkie now with the daughter. The Northolt vet practice/hospital waived the outstanding bill. The little chap has a new home to go to, with people he knows.

It is with regret that the owner of Michael the cheeky yorkie, died in the early hours of this morning from a fatal heart attack.I do not know the situation with the vets regarding the outstanding balance, and I do not want to intrude on the daughters grief.Michael is 10 years old, cat friendly.  Can anyone help find him a home?  At present, the cat is being cared for.

The Aggressor. similar to giant schnauzer approx 30/33 inches tall, colour black, think tail is stubby. Has thick curly hair coat, sort of poodle like, but not as tight.The victim a cute 8 inch high Yorkshire terrier. No further update on Michael's progress after surgery yesterday.

I don't have any information on this attack, but is it possible to have a description of the dog, other than that it is large?

Michael has had his operation.  The vets found two broken ribs and numerous internal tares along with the deep puncher wounds.  So far the bill is £2000 and mounting.  He is being monitored overnight.  The owner hopes the little chap will be home tomorrow or Wednesday, if he pulls through.I think Michael's owner is going to sue for vet bills, as the owner of Rupert (or son of Rupert) has been located. This dog is often walked with a Doberman bitch (girl dog).People have complained about this dog in the past, and it attacks without provocation.If anyone was in the park at the time and witnessed the attack, could they please do the decent thing and report it to the SNP. Next time, it could be a child being thrown around like a rag doll.

Thanks for the warning. About a year ago my dog was attached by a sheep dog in Springfield Gardens it only got a mouthful of hair thankfully. The owner went out of the Rosemont Rd entrance. She certainly wasn't in control of it. I thought she may have been a dog walker.
