The idea iS that people should adopt trees and water them through the first couple of years - some have wateRing tubes.We have coaxed the one planted outside our house for a while and it's now doing ok On its ownSave a tree!

The cynical answer is it wasn't their money. It was the Mayor's.Why can't people think outside the box and follow through any more. I suppose that is a different budget! AaeeehkTeamwork teamwork teamwork should be the mantra.

Why do they take the trouble to plamt new trres and then allow them to die of neglect? What a waste of money!

I noticed some if the new trees planted in the High Street have started to die cos if this weather. Such a shame.

But it didn't seem to cool things down much as storms often do.A bit of rain but the baskets still needed watering.
Yes!And my water butt is full, so there must have been quite a bit of rain, too. About time.
