Monday night at L'Oriental
Three couples rolled up early-ish yesterday evening for a meal and meeting. It was empty, which was a shame and rather worried me. However, within about 20 minutes every table inside and one outside was full. And that was perfectly understandable: the food was really good - particularly the chicken livers and the halloumi; the main courses were huge and tasty; the owner Tony was as delightful as ever and it was astonishingly reasonable.So being packed out on a Monday seemed a just reward.
