There's money in ice!!!
So last Wednesday, I crawled into the Acton Park cafe on the hottest day in ages. It's not my usual venue of choice, in part because I don't often go through the park, partly due to the assault course of buggy's that I can't be bothered to negotiate.Anyhow, I went to the fridge and found that the cold drinks sadly were not. I can understand that the fridges were struggling due to the heat,so I asked the guy there for ice.As I went to pay, I was told..."Well, that's £1 for the Coke and 50p for the ice."Once I had regained my composure, I handed the ice back and explained that they were "taking the mick".It's a shame, because it will stop me ever going there again.Carl
