Genuine Italiano Restaurant

Has anyone been to the new Italian restaurant next door to North China.  I had a look at the menu and it looks very good and reasonably priced.  Myself and hubby were thinking of trying it out - has anyone sampled the food there yet?  Many thanks.  Eileen

My last experience of a genuine italian restaurant was being charged 9 euro for some bread as we waited for our first dish.

Great reviews but more people need to get out and go to it otherwise it could close.  Use it or lose it as the saying goes!

We want this evening and had a good meal - most that we had were specials that were not on the menu, so do ask what is recommended.Also they scored a 5 out of 5 in a recent (18th March) food hygiene check.

We had a good lunch yesterday, antipasta and a primi.  So good to have somewhere for lunch so close to home.

I went there last night and the food was absolutely delicious and incredibly reasonable as well.Highly recommend it.

Went there with a mate last night and confirm that the food was lovely. There were only a couple of people in there which was a shame. The owner was even playing Eros Ramazotti.

Just to add, we've eaten there on three occasions over the last couple of months, and each time we've really enjoyed the food and ambience. Definitely worth trying out if you're wondering where to go for a nice meal in Acton.

We ate there last night and it was amazing, complementary starter and dessert and really tasty and good value pizza and meat courses.  Costa was also the perfect host!  We would definitely recommend this place!

Had a wonderful meal last night. Complimentary delicious bruschetta. Lovely pizza and pasta. The owner is delightful. Please support this restaurant as it is a lovely addition to Acton

Been 3 times now and feel like family!  Superb pasta dishes particularly.We only wanted a main course pasta last time, but were brought complimentary bruschetta also.On our second trip we discovered the chef's nice habit of pouring you a second limoncello for free!

We ate here for the first time this weekend, and will definitely go back. The food was good,the price (of both food and wine) extremely reasonable, and the atmosphere friendly and relaxed. I think that the owner could do with more support, though - so if you fancy a well-priced pizza or some traditional Puglian home cooking, do give it a go.

I wanted to plug this restaurant, too - there are only a couple of restaurants we go to in Acton, and I'm so pleased to be able to add this one to the list. The food is amazing - do get along and support these guys.

Totally agree with the food being good.  In fact, I would say amazing.  The Pizzas were wonderful and the Tiramisu to die for!  I have tasted many tiramisu's in my time but never quite as good as theirs.  What a welcome addition to Acton's range of restaurants - Good luck to the owners in their new venture.  Would thoroughly recommend Forum users to go try it out!

Hi Eileen , I did a trip advisor review for the restaurant , I love it , food is authentic and homemade . Costa and Paula the owners are so welcoming . I have only been twice but this was in the spate of 2 weeks which shows how good it is. It is a very welcome addition to Acton and I hope it stays.

Hi Eileen, We went when it was new.  The pizzas were delicious, but it took about 40 minutes.  Hopefully they have settled in a bit now!  They do other Italian dishes too.
