Teen Bike Thieves - Southfield Rec

One Men's bike (Royal Blue) and one boy's bike (dark grey & blue 'Specialised' with puncture-proof tyres) were stolen at about 7.30pm today.They were taken by a group of about 10 seeming teenagers while my husband was in the playground with our daughter and a friend.  The bikes were leaning against the playground fence when they were swiped.The thieves cycled out of the North exit from Southfield Rec.  I am about to contact the community Police but would appreciate it if you would PM me with any leads.Thanks

My bike is chipped - it's not a foolproof solution, because if you can put a chip in you can remove it too... but if anyone stole my bike (unlikely, as it's not very desirable) and it was recovered, then the police could scan for a chip and hopefully get it back to me?

A chap near me got off his bike to help an old lady cross the road and when he crossed back -  his bike had gone. Scum.  Where and when are the next bike marking sessions?  At least if they are found there may be a chance of reunion. Perhaps they should be chipped like dogs?
