Perryn Road residents

Are any of you on here?  If so then please PM me as I have been in touch with our local councillor about the goings on at number 1 (where the murder was) and thought it a good idea if we all emailed her with some concerns RE who is living on our street?Thanks,Tom

Hello Tom,I live on Perryn Road and am very shocked and saddened about the murder that happened at Number 1.  If you wish to get in touch about your concerns then please do. I am not in the business of closing it down or moving it to another neighbourhood but would like to feel safe in the knowledge that the organisation has rigorous procedures that ensure safety as much as possible  within the house and community.

We are long term residents of Perryn Road (30+ years)and have noted the care shown to the residents of Cabot House.  It appeared that most residents were simply in need of support in activities of daily life so we were very sad to hear about the terrible murder of one of the carers.  It does not appear that the type of support is adequate for a mentally ill person who can decide not to take medication.  It would seem to be a consequence of the closure of more secure hospital accommodation.  I understand that our Councillor is on sick leave but I am sure Hitesh would be happy to address our concerns.

Not a good advert for the 5 x £2m houses about to be shoehorned into the space released by destruction of the perfectly good block of flats on the corner of Shaa Road

I e mailed Councillor Hitesh Tailor who doesn't just represent East Acton but is Cabinet member for Adult services which includes the building on Perryn Road. I asked if Councillor Tailor would confirm there was a review of the referral system to Perry road to ensure residents peace of mind. To date he has not replied. He may be on holiday but there is no out of office automated response. What can he be thinking I wonder?
