Fantastic street art in Acton - now on the BBC

Have a look at this BBC report on street artist Stik - whose  art now covers an entire side of a South Acton estate tower block. (And sadly .... will have to be demolished)http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-34118088

'Mother and Child' by Stik was organised by Acton Arts Forum, the organisation behind the W3 Gallery and lots of other arty things in Acton. Rachel Pepper of AAF is the person to thank for us having this great piece of art on our patch.

Is that really the case?I have to say, i knew nothing about it, until i spotted it while driving to the rubbish tip. I stopped to take some pictures of it - but its so huge you probably need to be high-up and some distance away to get a good image.

Thanks for sharing that. I live just round the corner but missed it being painted. Always wondered who did it and how it was done. You can even see it when flying in to Heathrow if you have a window seat on the right!
