TWYFORD AVENUE CLOSED FROM UXBRIDGE RD TO LAYER GARDENS

They are resurfacing the road and have posted diversions via Hale gardens and Birch Grove. They  have also closed off the end of Stanway Gardens & Layer Gardens, but this is not clear, so lots of reversing going on.This work was supposed to start on 14th September & last 4 weeks, so will probably take up most of October,as they move down the avenue.

Thanks for the alert about this - I was due to drive up that way later today but can now circumnavigate.More effort really should be made to alert people to problems like this - the Council seem to make no effort at all and the roadworks information on the front page of this site is very out of date.
