The Leamington - new licensing application

There seems to be a notice on the window at what was previously The Leamington  pub suggesting that an application has been made for a license to serve alcohol. The name is stated as "Apple Tree" and the application has been made by a business called MW Healthy Foods Ltd.Does anybody know anything about it please? I would love to see something good done with the place. It has been dormant for so long now.The licensing hours are from 12-10pm during the week if I remember correctly which would suggest maybe not a pub?

We need a pub locally. I never particularly liked the Leamington, but pubs are one of the places which operate as community hubs. Think 'The Wheatsheaf' in Haven Lane, Ealing, or 'The Rocket' in Churchfield Road. Neighbourhood planning could help us to push for inclusion of this in any local development scheme. It's not a pub. The planning application for the conversion specified a convenience store on the ground floor with rabbit hutch...Sorry. Flats above.

If they're applying for a Licence to Serve Alcohol, presumably there'll be food involved as well?Who in their right mind would want to eat and drink with all that filth wafting in on you continuously from that 'orrible Industrial Estate just on the opposite side of the (also VERY congested)Horn Lane?!!!

There is an Apple Tree near the Acton Town tube station. Not sure if it's the same company.http://www.theappletreecakes.co.uk

I think Maureen for the CCA and maybe one of the other local associations knows about this.NOT a pub but a retailer, IIRC....asking for longer than Ealing core hours.
