The process of starting a Neighbourhood Forum is very interesting. Deciding your boundaries, do you select by political ward, do you look to select by the number of parks, churches, schools, businesses you would like in your area, or do you choose the neighbourhood you walk, shop, live, do business. The latter also gives the added bonus of knowing all the local issues.Meeting and talking to residents and businesses about the neighbourhood forum. Garnering support and interest is vital. Keeping everyone up to date is so important.Looking up other NF'sIn Westminster there are something like 14 NF's each one running along side the other. A few are only one road or street. They each have differing issues and so each NF deals with its own issues, but with support from the others. The creation of AMLF does not mean local residents and businesses will not be consulted by proposed development plans by Cross rail and the local authority. They will be consulted as part of the usual statutory processes. The purpose of the forum is to promote the social, economic, and environmental wellbeing of its designated neighbourhood.
