Ealing Children Complaints Department
Has anyone had any experience with Ealing Childrens services and their complaints department?Recently they wrote to a parent stating that their compliant will be investigated by the same person who the complaint is against! Completely bizarre! The situation has been see by me where a resident and parent refused to meet ESCAN for over 1 year as previous meetings notes where not a true picture of the actual meetings themselves, and only wished to attend a meeting with both parties recording it.Escan refused to attend such a meeting whilst the parent refused to attend a meeting otherwise. Eventually a form of comprise was made whereby a notetaker would be present.Escan informed the parent that the notes of the meetings would be available after 1 week. The parent chased up a number of times with one excuse after another being given by Chris Jones, Robert Day and Oliver Francis. The parent stated they believed the notes will not be forthcoming because they are damaging to Ealing themselves whereby they did not accept photographs or videos of abuse being committed. The council employees themselves stated in the meeting that they had not seen certain emails or supporting evidence despite it being sent to their department. Lastly recordings were played to them about a case of child abuse where 2 police officers from Ealing Borough are heard identifying themselves and activating their Body Cams. This body cam footage as stated by an unidentified Inspector on Ealing borough and Ealing Crime Department both state the police officers named as PC Pleece and PC MacWilliam were not issued with body cams that day. The parent stated that Escan has seen the parent's recording and seen the police's response which is nothing short of a cover-up.The parent decided to file a complaint with the children's department but they in return stated it would be looked at by Chris Jones - the same senior member of Escan who attended the meeting and who made alleged false promises. Even more intriguing would be to see what was on the recording which the parent has, does it show the officers having a disregard to safeguarding a child? a case of over-looking radicalisation?
