GRIDLOCK IN GUNNERSBURY LANE

There is a daily gridlock from Ealing Common to Acton Vale . Not jut THIS week due to repairs. !!The new roundabout  and the changed  access into  and out of  Gunnersbury Lane,    supposedly to make the traffic flow easier... has merely added to the problem . Admittedly Hillcrest Road is less of a rat run at  " school run " times but transit vans of all sizes miss the no entry  sign which has been ripped off the pillar and try to do a 3 point turn when unable to gain access to Gunnersbury Lane. Wilcott Road and King Edward Gardnes now have to deal with the extra flow of traffic.Be a good idea to revert back to what it was previously. Also..I need to get to Gunnersbury Park every day and am sick and tire of doing a 3  point  turn to get into Uxbridge Road IF the drivers in the jam give way for me and then having to wait in the queue to get to the roundabout by Morrisons and drive back to Gunnersbury Lane tests my patience  some what.

The sheer pointlessness of these no-left-turn junctions really ticks me off.

The new traffic layout has certainly caused a considerable back up going east on the Uxbridge Road often until after 1000hrs and 1900hrs. Allowing traffic coming north up Gunersbury Lane to turn left (west)could probably cut down some of the traffic attempting to access the roundabout.I noticed a number of vehicles doing three point turns on the Uxbridge Road, are they allowed on busy roads? Also some drivers were incapable of three point turns, more like five point and holding up the traffic even more. Would it not be easier to take the E3 to Gunnersbury Park? as the more cars removed from the roads, the less air pollution and thereby cutting down on lung disease.

The closure is from the junction with Gunnersbury Lane for a few yards down to the police station and is scheduled to last for 5 days. E3 on diversion through the Bollos.I can see I shall be walking to Pilates next week!

Gunnersbury Lane is going to be wholly closed from Sunday 25th if what the signs at the top say is true.Not sure for how long
