KFC Closed

Just noticed that KFC in the Oaks has now gone. How Pound Land and Boots are going to stay beats me.This development stinks of some dodgy dealings going on with Landlords.

Spoke to two 99p Store staff members separately a few months ago. They said they had a lease for anther two years or so and the developers would have to pay a very large sum to get them out...Poundland has taken over 99p and, with that, the lease. Assume they will let them stay as long as possible as they will have to pay less compensation the less time there is left on the lease.

It is strange that Poundland was allowed to take over the 99p shop in The Oaks and now there are rumours that they may have to move to another location.What would the owners of The Oaks allow this to happen?

There are several empty shopfronts in the High Street where Poundland and other 'displaced' shops might move.

I do hope that Waitrose does not occupy the entire space, some of us actually welcome Poundland in Acton.

True mate Guy in paper shot heard that the Waitrose is going to take up the whole of the Complex and leave no room for any other shops😞

Could be as simple as all of the tenants having different contract end dates and them and landlord maximising income while they can.
