Royal Mail trolleys in Churchfield

Does anyone know why the seemingly abandoned Royal Mail trolleys around the Churchfield area seem to be multiplying? There are now four of them within a few streets of one another (Cumberland Rd/Highlands Ave, Woodhurst Rd/Spencer Rd, Maldon Rd/Woodhurst Rd and Churchfield Rd/Myrtle Rd). Has anyone local tried to find out why they are there and whether they are actually abandoned?

Thanks for replying Douglas. It's a bit of mystery to me about these trolleys as they seem to be slowly multiplying and two of them are covered in leaves at the moment and look like they have been completely abandoned. I think I pursue the issue with Royal Mail and report back to the forum.

They are being left there for the RM to do daily drops of mail that the Post man/woman then collect from. They should not be allowed to do it - the one on Myrtle Rd blocks the pavement....
