Bird murals - South Acton Estate

Have no idea whether it is going to be possible, but the beautiful bird murals currently adorning South Acton blocks are being threatened with destruction. I spoke to the landscape architect for phase 6 of the estate regeneration - they have been in touch with the artist, so watch this space.

A clever developer would do the job for you - preserve the murals (because they are beautiful and everyone loves them) maybe even as a piece of freestanding art and keep some element of continuity with Acton's heritage. I think when they were originally painted they were supposed to be images of birds that had once lived in the area.It would probably cost very little in the scheme of a multi-million pound development  - and be an easy PR win for the developer.I bet, if the developer thought about it for five minutes, they would see the logic. Why not talk to them?R
