Pioneering Acton company narrowly misses out on World Travel Award

Should have been here!Thank-you for all those who have congratulated. The tours are open to all male/female, Muslim or not, young/old, wheelchair bound or not. There's never been any restrictions. In terms of gender ratios there's always more females taking up the tours. Non-Muslims are welcome as has been the case for example from local archives, Blue badge guides, police officers, lecturers, students, educators etc

Totally agree and as an interested person who loves travelling in Muslim countries (Iran next !!) I had a look at their web site. It was very interesting and I was surprised that they do a tour of Acton. Clearly open to women, not sure whether open to non-Muslims, but I am going to try to go on one. I don’t regularly feel the urge to comment on this forum and probably won’t again but Dee – I find your response ignorant. Why not try to book yourself on one and see?I am so sick of seeing Muslim bashing on this forum. It is totally unacceptable and I urge the forum administrators to do something about this! And that goes for the general bashing of everyone – perhaps we should all try to be a bit nicer?!I for one am proud to live in a diverse community with different types of people and beliefs. Especially when those people bring business to the area!Sorry to take the attention off the main post for a second but I needed to rant. Congratulations Muslim History Tours!!
