CCA AGM 18 November

The Churchfield Community Association is holding our AGM next Wednesday, 18 November at St Mary's church hall. The first part of the meeting from 7pm is the actual AGM which is for CCA members only. Non members are welcome to join us from 7.50 pm when there will be refreshments including a finger buffet, followed by our open meeting with speakers on the refugee crisis. The timetable is as follows:7–7.30pm: Arrival and sign in7.30–7.50pm: Annual General Meeting, followed by speaker from APPLE – our regular charity7.50–8.10pm: Free finger food from L'Oriental and a glass of wine (or soft drink)8.10–9pm(ish): Open meeting

Let me get this right.It seems that "Saint" Bell availed his flock of what LBE is going to do for some Syrian Refugees, whilst he owns a house in Acton, but actually lives in another, a Housing Association house. Which clearly deprives one of the aforementioned needy refugee families?Does anyone out there think this man has a shred of integrity left?Did anyone point this out to him on the night?

It was lovely to have such a lively debate and great to welcome so many people with differing views on refugees in Ealing.Early notice that our next debate will be in January and be on the contentious topic of the third runway at Heathrow. Well, that was a lively and crowded open meeting - the fullest AGM I have ever attended.And Fr Cuff was a star - even those who disagreed with him were rather charmed.If anyone wants to join in the CitizenUK efforts, just sign up on the website and you will be directed to the Ealing group.

I stand corrected then, thank you.Member of "Progress" also says a lot. If they're a Right Wing faction within the Labour Party explains possibly why he (and his Party minions) think it's OK for him to occupy an "Affordable" home, thus denying one needy family, whilst owning another?!!!Not to mention also of course "The Loan" he has from LBE.Right Wing indeed, perhaps he should Come Out and join The Conservatives!!!

Not what I consider to be a socialist. He's a member of Progress, a right wing party with the Labour party. They hate Jeremy Corbyn, who I do consider to be a socialist. So no he's not a socialist.

And if we take them in, will The Leader Bell give up his subsidised "Affordable" (ie Social) Housing  to one of the refugee families?After all, he owns another house in Acton, and allegedly a further house in Yorkshire.Somehow I think not.Do as I say, not as I do.Typical Labour Socialist Hypocrite..............

Bearing in mind the present situation in France it may be unwise to invite Sunni Muslim Syrian refugees to settle in Acton/Ealing as is proposed by Cllr Bell and the current Labour administration.  There is presently not enough housing/schools/health facilities for the present population!  Observing how the background checks are taking place in Jordan by the United Nations workers on TV last night I am unimpressed.

Julian Bell should be interesting. I wonder if he will commit to a certain number of refugees - Barnet and Kingston say 50 each. Of course the Scots are being very much more welcoming.

I hope lots of people will come. The debate on refugees should be interesting and,I'm looking forward to hearing what Julian Bell is going to say. I see in yesterday's paper that Rupa,Huq is off to China,on a fact finding mission to look at issues of pollution. I'm sure she will be back for the meeting, so a chance to meet her too if you like. Come one come all.
