There is a car with flat tires sitting in the council owned alleyway that runs between Jeddo Road W12 and Valetta Road W3. It has been there for several months now.I have tried unsuccessfully to report this on the Ealing website but for some reason the form will not take the information.Does anyone have a number or direct email to the relative dept?If I don't do this, no one will.I speak from experience!

if it is causing an obstruction or danger you could also try the police - I think they then have the power to remove.

I looked on the DVLA website as suggested earlier.It is SORN, no MOT and no resident's permit.As I said earlier it has been there for probably a year now as a 'guest' of Ealing Council parked in a council owned alleyway, which runs between the back gardens of the flats of St. Elmo and Davis Roads (W3 7.) A couple of times I have seen someone (presumably the owner) visit it.Thank you Dr. John Stolworthy, I will try the council website.

DVLA provide information aimed at people thinking of buying a car. Is it taxed and insured? Is it lost or stolen? If it is on private property can it just be scrapped?

Thanks for your replies.I have tried both of the above suggestions and the answer I got from a councillor was as follows "If this is an adopted road then, it will be treated like any other road. If residents want to request that double yellow lines be installed I will make a bid but so far I have not received any complaints."So, I guess I will try a different councillor and email customer services and also try fixmystreet.I am getting a bit tired of all this.

Get onto your local councillor. They are usually pretty good at sorting out these sort of things.

For over a year this car has been parked in a London Borough of Ealing (LBE) owned alleyway blocking an entrance. It is SORN, with no MOT and no parking permit. Nothing LBE can do apparently. It's not quite clear to me why but something to do with the alleyway not being an 'adopted road' and having no yellow lines.What a farce!

WOW!!Four replies within an hour and all so very useful!This forum is more effective than the local authority!In the end I rang the council on the fly tipping hotline (8825 8825) number as sometimes I just like to speak to a human voice and the online form can only accept street addresses and not alleyways. Thank you Lorna for the DVLA link. The car is SORN I found out but it has been there for over 6 months blocking the alleyway. Thank you so much everyone else. I will remember to use fixmystreet as well in future.

Have your reported it to the police in case they are looking for it?I second the recommendation for www.fixmystreet.com They send the info to the correct place and come back to you to ask you if there has been any change in the situation. I have also had replies from the Council when things have been reported via www.fixmystreet.com

You could also try putting it on FixMyStreet.com - reports there should be directed to the relevant department in Ealing.

If you go online and search for the "report flytipping" link, you can report it there. I have found that reported flytipping is usually picked up next day (although an abandoned car may take longer). Good luck.
