Cafe in the Park...

is apparently under new management.Has it re-opened yet?Rather looking forward to trying it.

I Thought the previous guys targeted the buggy brigade rather than walkers - with storyline and the like.This looks less cafe-like anymore lunch destination. Dunno if that works there.

My wife went there at about 11am earlier this week and it wasn't open - think it might struggle if it is not intending to cater for the dog walking crowd who made up most of the regular customers of its predecessors.

Is now open - in a soft launch sort of way.Silly me - didn't ask about the hours...They had a rather delicious special of chicken satay and vermicelli salad...tasty in an Angela Malik style.It's quite up-market and less of a cafe than previously.Daily, changing home-made soup.All cash at the moment but there is wi-fi.I think it will be a distinctive addition to the Acton offer when it finds its feet.

Due to open today.The former bowls green is going to be a mini golf or pitch and putting green.

Acton Park.Yes Birdies...(a little bird told me) but not much else.

Not open yet. Looks like its being refurbished.  Its called The Birdies-lovely new sign outside and even a birdhouse!
